In most cases, we deliver skips onto private land or driveways but there are situations where this is not always possible.

When requiring a waste disposal service in Durham when there is no access to either a driveway or private land then we can offer 2 solutions.

Road Permit

We can deliver a skip onto the public road in Durham where a road permit would be required or we can provide a ‘wait and load’ service.

Placing the skip on the road with a permit does comes at an extra cost but this permit will allow you to have the skip on the road for upto 2 weeks. We will arrange the permit on your behalf with your local council.

When booking a skip online, simply choose the ‘onroad’ option and the cost of the road permit will be added to the order total.

Wait & Load

With a wait and load service, we simply place the skip on the public highway where you have 30 minutes to fill the skip. Once complete, our driver will leave site carrying the skip away for waste processing.

This saves the cost of the road permit and can be ideal if you have large bulky items or if your waste is bagged up and ready to be put into the skip.

The 4 yard skip is often hired for small / medium domestic projects or garden waste. Its size is Equivalent to 35-40 standard bin bags.
