Skip Delivery & Collections

 

As a transport company managing 100+ deliveries each day and with numerous skip delivery vehicles out on the road we deal with a lot of delivery requests and enquiries. If delivery doesn’t meet expectation this can lead to customer frustrations but, fortunately, a little insight into the delivery and booking process can alleviate this.

 

                 “I booked an AM delivery, where is my Skip?”
                                “I have a team of people here waiting to use the skip, where is the skip?”
                                          “I have waited in all morning for my skip to arrive”

Deliveries cannot be guaranteed for a certain time. Although you can request either an AM or PM delivery, and whilst we do our upmost to deliver accordingly, there are certain circumstances beyond our control that can affect delivery times. This includes but is not limited to traffic delays, vehicle failure, and driver illness. Therefore we would always recommend having the skip delivered at least a day or two before you have planned to get work done. This is especially important before the weekend and bank holidays.

IMPORTANT: An AM booking can be delivered any time between 7am-12pm; an AM booking does not mean an 8am delivery.

 

Don’t shell out extra cash… we don’t charge for an extra day. Many of our customers have a team of labourers ready to help them fill the skip. If you asked for AM delivery but need the skip delivered early as you have a team ready to go please consider getting the skip delivered a day or two before. Then it’s ready for use when you require it and you don’t have to pay any extra to your labourers for hanging around.

Our drivers can place/collect the skip without the need for anyone to wait in. You may leave delivery and placement instructions with our office team which will be passed on to the driver, alleviating the need for someone to stay home. Often customers want to leave boards or planks of wood for the skip to be placed on and if you leave them where you want the skip placing we will do our best to accommodate this.

IMPORTANT: If you have booked an AM delivery that you want to wait in for but have plans for the afternoon, please be aware that our driver can often face delays in his schedule. As such this can have an impact on your delivery and affect your plans; hence our emphasis on the fact that it is not necessary to wait in for delivery and collection.
